Web-based tools

Web-based tools developed for this project include the following components:

1) This website that serves as a gateway to the project

2) Google Maps based ClimateAP that allows users to interactively access climate data and visualize climate maps for any location in the Asia-Pacific:web_mat

3) Google Maps based spatial visualization tool that allows users to interactively visualize projections from the niche-based ecological model for individual forest tree species

web_chfir2020These web-based tools will allow easy access to the latest knowledge and research generated by this project and provide the capacity for those with little modelling experience to be able to access high-resolution climate data. Together, these will facilitate and improve the quality of future research on climate change in the Asia-Pacific region. This freely available information and climate/niche modelling tool will help to develop more targeted and effective management strategies to mitigate and adapt to climate change, which will help maintain healthy forest ecosystems that continue to supply socio-economic and environmental benefits to the people of this region.
