Research Interests:
My proposed research is to use remote sensing and visioning tools utilizing carbon sequestration measurement in China to explore modern forest management strategies for the local people. The specific aim of my research is to 1) track the past 30 years carbon sequestration trends of planted forests in Jiangsu province, to 2) integrate the outcomes of extracted historical data into multi-models, such as a forest production model and climate change model, to evaluate future vegetation distribution, and to 3) visualize future forest scenarios and provide forest management strategies with participation of local communities.
