Research Interests:
Dr. Ma has been Dean of the College of Forestry, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (FAFU) since 2013. He served as Associate Dean of the College of Forestry, FAFU between 2010 and 2013. His research interests mainly include: Chinese fir productivity; litter fall and nutrient flux; nutrient cycling and distribution; plant morphological and physiological plasticity; nutrient stress short-rotation forestry management. Dr. Ma has led more than twenty national, provincial and ministerial research projects and has had more than one hundred and fifty academic publications within the past two decades.

Professional Affiliations:
Dr. Ma is also a member of the Sixth Forest Discipline Appraisal Group of the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council and a member of the Forest Soil Committee of Soil Science Society of China. He has received the Governmental Special Subsidy of State Council, China, the 8th Forestry Youth Technology Award of China and the Youth Science and Technology Award on the 3rd Soil and Water Conservation Association.
